I looked up at the fireworks. The nights sky was filled colorful lights, lights that danced and spoke. The red, the blue, the green and the gold the vivid image of the most simple things, putting me in another state. There was a BAM, a BOOST and a BLAST! I jumped a little at the loud noises, but I was still fasinated but the different patterns in the sky. It was like dragons flying around in the sky, almost like the were having a ball. I wondered how it would to fly above the world and to be looked at in fasination. Just then I closed my eyes and pictured it and when I opened my eyes I was a dragon. A dragon dancing with the others. I was flying through the clouds letting the wind flow across my body. Soaring with my new friends above everyone. I looked down to notice to beautiful China was. We were flying over the ocean and I dove toward to the deep blue hurdling to my near death I pulled up touching the water with my claws. I seen my reflection in the water and noticed that I wasn't a dragon, I was still the same child. Just then I flew higher, and higher into the sky pass all the clouds, away from the dragons that were with me I flew higher until; I stopped and fell. I made myself fall diving into the water I felt open and free. Right when the calming waves hit me I woke up. All of it was a dream? But it felt so real, I couldn't believe it. Just then I noticed a note that was folded, so I opened it and read it, and I smiled...

There I was running gasping for air. Yelling for help, no one anwsered. It was dark outside and only the street lights were my source of light. I couldn't see what up ahead and I didn't look back to see what or who was chasing me. All I could think of was get out of here, make it home, make it somewhere safe. I kept running my lungs burning I wouldn't stop, no I couldn't stop. I didnt know what to do, I didn't even know what was chasing me. So as I kept running I wanted to see what I was running from; the thing that was chasing me in the darkness. I turned my head to take a little look to see the horrid face of the twisted creature chasing me. That was a mistake, as I looked back see I seen a figure chasing me, holding a huge knife, and as I turned around to face the other way again I hit a pole. Smash! My face hit the metal that was in front of me and I blacked out. I woke up with a cut across my forehead and my lip was busted. When I opened my eyes I seen a bright light in my face, a blinding light. I tryed to move, but I noticed that I was tied down, so I tilted my head up to see who this person was. I looked at the figure, my eyes adjusting to the light, I seen a doctor? Or at least I thought it was a doctor. Just then I felt a pain in my chest and as I looked down I became disgusted. I seen my chest split open and my heart gone; but wait thats impossible I'm still alive! Then I noticed there was a body beside me, lifeless lying there, woth no heart also...

Hello, I see you have come across a story. A story which contains wonderful details of life, love, and important events which have occurred. This story also happens to be about me: a fourteen year old girl living her life’s great tale one day at a time. You may simply refer to me as Deidra, however. As I mentioned before, I am a young teen living through the start of a freshman year. I attend a parochial school named “The Savior of Many.” This school is overall decent. There are some flaws in it, however. For instance, if I were to tell you of my view on the students, some are good and others are better left unsaid. My summer wasn’t typical as my past ones were. This season was rained out and I came down with a bug. These two factors put a damper on my fun. However, two weeks out of my break were exciting. My cousins were visiting and I couldn’t sit down for a minute. It was as if my sedentary ways were being corrected, through games and recreation, created by my relatives. One common idea for fun is swimming in my pool. This is held imperialistically to my cousins, due to the fact they don’t have a pool, of their own. Plus, their town pool’s cost accumulates to a high bill because there are five kids and one adult: My Aunt Anne. I only mention her because my Uncle George is always working. He’s a truck driver, loading and unloading shipments of wood, to houses, businesses, and etc. Thus, he has very little time for a family...

She wanted to believe this rain was over. She wanted to believe that this world wasn't cold. But in this feeling she's been wading & in this silence she believes in the starlight she is bleeding– it all fades out. A strange territory this city has become, A faded painting left behind. In her eyes it's always been. And always it's in her smile. Her breath on my neck I lie awake remembering– leaves blowing around my feet. & upon azure skies, I blaze her emerald gaze– kiss the midnight stars for her & breathe the shimmering world away to rize in satellite. Her eyes flash radiant guize– casting shadows upon the pavement of my native Lincoln, Nebraska where winds wash away her tears to splash them upon my toes.

THE JOURNEY By - Namineel We were on way to Thirupati in Tamilnadu. I was quite tired with the long tour of the area during these days. This trip of journey too was a sequel to it. You may enjoy the tours and travels, but constant journeys without enough rest make you tired and fatigued. Still, new experiences and curiosity to see more keeps you on. Our travel-coach had taken off from Chennai. After some ten or twelve kilometers, the bus stopped on way at Arcot to accommodate the last group of its tourists. I had a casual glance at them. A couple with a child of about 6 or 7 years came to my sight. They boarded on the bus. The young black lady with her proportionately carved figure attracted my attention. I was startled in a fix. Was she a Tamil edition of Unmayee ? In comparison to the color and concept of beauty in northern India, my eyes were naturally anxious for looking to a face and figure that sooths them. The complexion of the skin in south is generally black with dry skin as if wrapped with layers of the burnt ash. That even could be attractive, if there be some gleam on the skin, which one likes. This added quality is rare there. The dryness on the black faces with allergic shapes detracts the eyes. Our new companion lady was an exception. She had a slender figure that Bharatnatyam dance exponents have...

One night, there was a knock on the door, it was late and everyone was wide asleep. I gently rubbed the sleep off my heavy eyes and opened the door. There was nobody outside; heavy wind was presently swaying the house. So heavy that the wind pelted gravel lying in the perimeters of the garden hither and thither; dry leaves found solace in the dim lit surroundings of our house. A sleepy white dog whined boisterously, the wind was playfully tossing things up in the air and whirling them around. I followed the trail of the whine and found the dog curled up as an old sack of coconut cord beneath the house. The pinion point was under a lot of stress, ‘must oil it in the morning’ I thought. I gathered the closely curled up dog into my arms, held it against my chest and took it inside. Made him a bed and offered to cover him up, but it was not going to happen, for the dog went round and round chasing his tail, very neurotic dog he must have been. Another knock on the door; there was a body lying outside in a stretcher. The victim was slowly descending into trauma, treatment was inevitable and no time to lose. I brought the victim inside and woke up father. After repeated applications of ointment and having him drink the green potion, the victim recovered. Next morning, he confessed. The victim was a vampire. The constant need for blood had driven him made with rage and discomfort, so he burnt himself by jumping into a furnace...
