This is the story of a young man who falls in love for a girl who leads him down a path of bliss but then essentially jilts him and abruptly rejects him, and lies about his character in an effort to destroy his own character and elevate her own. I know; this has been done a million times before. You just have to trust me that this version is well written and worth reading again. (*Please clear this text before entering your Storyline.)

#8882 | Horror published on November 30, 2009 in English
One Friday evening nine years ago, I was very exhausted after all the tiring activities I did in our school, so after eating my dinner and resting for a while, I decided to go to bed early. I was very tired that night so it didn’t take long and I fell asleep already. While I was on a deep-slumber-state, I started dreaming fantastic things already. I even dreamed that I was flying up in the sky like Superman, happily watching and enjoying the bird’s-eye-view of my little hometown. I thought that dream would last long, but I was wrong because my eyes suddenly opened when I felt some kind of vibrations or unknown force coming towards me. I was lying on my bed that time and the light in my room was so dim so I couldn’t clearly see what it was, but I could clearly feel the evil force coming from that strange being. It came closer… and closer… and closer to me. And everytime I felt that it’s nearer… and nearer… and nearer me, my body turned colder… and colder… and colder, until my body went numbed when I felt that it settled on my stomach, right above my navel. When I looked at it, I was horrified upon seeing what it was. My hairs were all raising up, because on my stomach was standing a horrifying monster, a large black cat with terrifying evil-looking red eyes, razor-sharp teeth and fangs, and long scythe-shape claws on its paws...

#8877 | Mystery published on November 30, 2009 in English
Apartments in winters come alive. I realised this when I was eight. The place has neither the dampness of rainy season nor the troubling lightness of air and everything around you. I enjoyed the time I spent in the lift in my apartment; it was a room, only it belonged to no one. We all shared the space sometimes alone, sometimes together, yet the room belonged to no one. It was late in the night; I pulled my hands out of the warm side pockets of my jacket and risked the exposure of cold winter air. I pressed the button and was waiting for the lift to descend, tapping my foot against the brown tiled wall. On its way down, the lift paused briefly at one of the floors, and I heard the sound of a woman (must be in her thirties) in great urgency, she banged the lift’s door shut and left, only to realise a moment later that the door was not properly lodged into the sockets. She tried vainly to force the door into the socket, after a couple of attempts (while I was rubbing my palms and pressing them against my chin), she pulled the door ajar and banged it violently. The door was locked, and the cables before me in the hollow lift chamber were rising to meet the pulley right at the top of the apartment, on the sixth floor. And with a thud, the lift drooped low like an old tree’s bark that mysteriously collapses to let a rabbit peep out of it; a lady with her eyebrows raised high stepped outside...

#8876 | Romance published on November 30, 2009 in English
He opened his eyes slowly, looked at his wife, first the chin, then the nose and finally the forehead. She was sewing, with her lips pursed (as all women do while sewing). He watched her intently, was it the morning’s fog that was rubbing its back against the bedroom window, was it the day’s first shaft of light that slantingly stroked her ears, was it the jocund manner in which she brandished her needle as a child does its scars, he no longer remembered, but she was beautiful, and nothing else mattered. She muttered something indistinctively, rose and brushed the crumbs of bread on her frock, flapped it once in air, pulled the needle away, started, as if she has seen a ghost. He never woke up so early, she held his face up by her pink palms and kissed him on the lips, there is nothing whatever the matter with him, she declared after examining his sleepy eyes and wrinkled forehead with her lips. Holding her purse in one hand, tea cup in another, she approached him. Washing the tea around with a spoon, he lent his eyes to the purse. She was hiding her hands behind her, such a ravishing beauty she was, he thought. Much as a hen spreads her feathers and guards the nest and eggs, she was hiding something from him. He shaded his eyes with the back of his palm and looked at her...

#8827 | History published on November 29, 2009 in English
One sunny day fifteen years ago, our family decided to visit my Uncle and Auntie in Naocondiot, Placer, Masbate ( the Philippines). We went there via motorboat. We reached Naocondiot, if I’m not mistaken, at eight o’clock in the morning. The temperature was scorching hot that day because it’s summer time already. So, when we reached there, we were really feeling uncomfortable due to the unusual warmness of the surroundings. Seeing my brother and I feeling uncomfortable, our cousins invited us to go swimming on the cool sea. Since my brother and I love swimming very much, even though we didn’t know how to swim, we didn’t reject their invitation and decided to join in. We really had a good time playing at the seawater. I thought the enjoyment that I was experiencing would last long, but I was wrong. While I was playing with a bamboo stick, running and chasing it wherever it went, the current took it over to the deeper part of the sea. I excitedly ran after it, oblivious of the danger that lies ahead. The current continued taking it over to the deeper part and I also continued chasing it, extending my right arm as far as I could reach, in a desperate move to retrieve the stick back. When I nearly reached the tip of the stick, something went wrong. I fell down into the deep part of the water and instantly sunk to the bottom. Some saltwater got inside my mouth and nose which made me burped and exhaled all the air in my system...

#8658 | Mystery published on November 26, 2009 in English
Its not easy walking in this dark dungeons even though there is daylight its so eerie down here, but its too late to turn back, have to find the answers or this pain and heaviness would torture me through my lifetime. A sound of siren few blocks away filled my soul with goose bumps, it doesn’t have to be this way, it would not have been this way at all but now that I have got here I got to face it, damp smell and smell from debris of rat or cat got me nausea, the dark liquid spread across the path seems to create a permanent pattern along the way, I linked the fingers of my hands together and sent a silent prayer skyward, I knew I can do this that’s why I am here…….. its been 3 years now and I have been living with guilt that now I have become a living tomb. I reached to a steel gate where lots of oily dirt gets on once finger if dared to touch, I pushed my hand through two steel ribs and knocked on the latch on the door, waited few seconds and knocked again still the door stood rigid. All my hopes crashing down on me and my legs pulling me down as felt my legs turn wobbly on the thought of going back through this path without the answers or the solutions I came for…. Then slowly the door creeks and opens crack on the side and small grey tired eyes pokes at me from a mask like face with so much of wrinkles on it….. “Hi, my name is Millie, Jason sent me, is this Mr. Hopkins lab” A slow smile lit up the small mans wrinkled face...
